EAGLE CEMENT CORPORATION GARNERED TITANIUM AWARD

In the recently concluded 61st Annual National Mine Safety and Environment Conference (ANMSEC) held last November 11-14, 2014 at CAP-John Hay and Cultural Center Main Hall, Camp John Hay, Baguio City, Eagle Cement Corporation (ECC), reaped a Titanium Award, one of the most coveted 2014 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Awards (PMIEA) for the Quarry Operation category.

Manuel P. Daway, Vice President for Operations and Medel L. Justiniano, Compliance Manager received the award from Philippine Mine Safety and Environment Association (PMSEA) during the Annual Awards Night and Testimonial Dinner.

In the same event, Rean L. Cutamora, ECC’s Safety and Health Inspector was also an awardee who received a Certificate of Merit and a cash prize from PMSEA in recognition for his excellent performance in implementing quality health and safety programs.

A team of eleven employees of ECC headed by its Compliance Manager, Medel L. Justiniano also actively participated in the First Aid and Fire Fighting Competition.

The National Mine Safety and Environment Conference is held annually with PMSEA as its convenor headed by its President, Louie R. Sarmiento, to promote the advancement of the Philippine Minerals Industry in the fields of occupational safety and health, environmental protection and social development consciousness through collaborative efforts of the industry, government and non-government organizations and other agencies as its mission.
