TAKING GREEN TO A HIGHER LEVEL

Our facility at Eagle Cement Corporation (ECC) has a Waste Heat Recovery system that generates up to 6.30 Megawatts of power from the plant’s waste heat. This allows up to save up to 20% of electricity costs in production while conserving renewable fuel supply and minimizing harmful gas emissions.

Beyond going green in our plant operations, we also conduct monthly tree planting and growing activities in the nearby communities.


CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)

We at ECC believe in a business approach that benefits the stakeholders socially, economically, and environmentally. As part of our commitment to a sustainable development, we have initiated and implemented the various programs and projects:

1. Gift Giving

We regularly provides grocery packs to its host and surrounding communities in celebration of the festive Christmas season,

2. Cement Donations

We fully support community development programs and projects that need cement. Requests from various organizations, institutions, agencies and churches were granted upon after an intent validation process.

3. Support for the Boy Scout Jamboree

We support the molding of children in the barangay in becoming responsible citizens. We provided financial assistance for the registration of Akle High School Boy Scouts in their participation in the Regional Boy Scout Jamboree.

4. Support/Donations to various organizations and institutions

In support of the various activities of select institutions, we also provided financial assistance to the Saint Dominic Pastoral Council and the JCI- Run for Life Gold Sponsorship, among others.

Eagle Cement goes green in 7th anniversary

To commemorate the first cement bag it produced back in 2010, Eagle Cement Corporation (Eagle) took to the forests of San Ildefonso, Bulacan for a tree planting activity in celebration of its seventh anniversary.

Eagle Cement Corporation (ECC) was awarded the coveted 2016 Titanium Award for the Quarry Operation category of the Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Awards (PMIEA) last November 18, 2016 at the 63rd Annual National Mine Safety and Environment Conference (ANMSEC) at the CAP-John Hay Trade Center and Cultural Center in Camp John Hay, Baguio City.

Soaring high, uplifting lives

Limited -- that was how life can be described in the Sitio Narra community of San Ildefonso, Bulacan. Residents had to walk to get water from a well, had to rely on rainwater for extra supply. They had to leave the community, and go to the town proper or to cities to get jobs. Children had to endure walking several kilometers to reach the school.
